How to Install an Electric Bike Battery: 2-Row Battery Position
- 30 April 2025
Before installing the battery, check the completeness of the existing battery set.
On electric bicycles that have 4 batteries, the battery set is equipped with 8 bolts and 3 red battery cables that have different colored cable ends, namely black and red.
To start the installation, open the battery compartment cover bolts on the lower deck using a screwdriver.
Place all batteries in the compartment.
Mark the battery position as shown in the picture.
Start the battery cable installation series by installing the first cable with the red end on the red terminal on battery number one.
Then connect the black end of the cable to the blue terminal on battery number two.
Next, install the second cable with the red end on the red terminal on battery number two and the black end on the blue terminal on battery number three.
Install the third cable with the red end on the red terminal on battery number four, and connect the black end of the cable to the blue terminal on battery number one.
The cable installation pattern in the example is a reference for the recommended cable layout.
Finally, attach the two types of power cables connected in the compartment to the remaining battery terminals, namely the red power cable to the red terminal on battery number three, and the black power cable to the blue battery terminal on battery number four.
Tighten with the existing bolts using a screwdriver.
Make sure the battery installation is properly installed before closing the compartment.
Close the compartment cover tightly again and tighten the bolts using a screwdriver.
After the lower deck is neatly closed, turn on the MCB located under the rear seat to activate the electric bicycle unit.
