Recommended Ways to Wash a Lithium Battery-Based Electric Bike

 

Lithium battery-based electric bike maintenance is not much different from other non-electric bikes, including how to wash them. However, there are some things to note.

 

1.    Make sure the electric bike is in an inactive condition.

Before starting washing, turn off the electric bike engine. Make sure the MCB is OFF. Then also make sure the charger port is closed so that no water enters.

 

2.    Remove the Lithium battery before washing.

It is highly recommended to remove the Lithium battery before washing the electric bike. Store it in a safe place and make sure it is not exposed to water.

 

3.    Use the right water pressure.

Check the water pressure that will be used for washing. If using a water hose, avoid strong water pressure. Use running water with low to medium pressure. Add washing soap to clean stains and other dirty parts, but do not use soap with high chemicals that can damage the body or other parts of the bike.

 

4.    Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Make sure the electric bike is clean from soap after the stain cleaning process by rinsing it. Dry with a soft cloth to avoid scratches during drying, especially on the body of the electric bike.
